Guys, C.S. Lewis is such a stud. He is a champion and a man among men when it comes to the Christian faith. And he had a great quote, “We are like ignorant children. Completely happy and content playing with mud pies in the dirt when we have no idea what an invitation to the beach at the sea would be like.” Jesus is inviting us to live incredible lives. We are called to be fully alive.
In the first reading today, Abram is called by God to leave everything behind because God is calling Abram to follow Him. And so Abram does. He trusts the Lord, and he gives everything up. And now he is the Father among nations. He didn’t know what would happen, but he trusted his Father in heaven. And so, in the same way, we are called to trust the Father in our lives, especially this Sunday and throughout this week. Leave your mud pies behind. Follow God in your life. It will be an adventure.
