So, when I was a senior in college, I got offered a job with the FBI. And I remember when that moment happened, I felt interiorly so empty, which is crazy because here’s what the world is saying. This will make you happy. This will make you fulfilled. It felt empty at the time because I knew the Lord was calling me to something else. He was calling me to something that would truly fulfill me. In the Gospel for this Sunday, Jesus is calling all of us to die to ourselves so that we can bear fruit and be fulfilled with the Lord. I am sure you all have amazing plans for your life. I am sure your plans for your own life are awesome, but God’s plans are better. And I am sure that with your plans for your own life, you will do good things, but with God’s plan for your life, you can literally shake the universe. This is Spirit Juice, peace.

Jesus Vs. The Worst of You
If you are a human being, you’ve probably used this phrase before, “I told you so.” I don’t use that phrase often, but it’s told to me a lot. In the gospel for this Sunday, Jesus has the perfect opportunity to say to Peter, “I told you so. Peter, I said you would deny me. I told you so.” Instead of rubbing Peter’s sins in his face, Jesus takes the worst moment in Peter’s life and redeems it into the most beautiful moment of his…

Jesus and Our Purpose
Imagine if Luke Skywalker never left Tatooine, or imagine if Frodo never left The Shire, or imagine if Eleven never left Mike Wheeler’s basement and just stayed there. All of these heroes were meant for something. They had a purpose, and they lived it out. And we are called to do the same thing. In the gospel for this Sunday, Jesus pities the people because they are like sheep without a shepherd, and…

The Perfect Love Triangle
My life with the Vampire Diaries, Twilight, Stranger Things, and Outer Banks. What do all of these things have in common? Love triangles and maybe not the most wholesome love triangles. Today, we celebrate the solemnity of the Most Blessed Trinity, the most perfect and profound love relationship, a love triangle between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is what we desire. We want that perfect…
