The Academy Awards, the Grammys, the Oscars, the Emmys, they’re so awesome. The beauty of these award shows is that the first thing that happens when someone receives an award, they actually show gratitude. They share with everyone who has helped them on this journey and the fact that they can’t do it alone.
The gospel for this Sunday, nine of the lepers who were healed do not show gratitude to Jesus. At the Oscars, no person who receives an award says, “I’m totally entitled to this award.” How often in our prayer life we can do the same thing. I’m entitled to God, You giving me this grace, You giving me straight A’s, this certain relationship. We can treat God as a vending machine. God is one who just is a giver of gifts. To live a life just feeling entitled for things, that leads to just needing more and desiring more. But living a life of gratitude, that brings peace. Stay with Jesus in the peace.

Easter

In the Holy Sepulchre, there is the tomb where they laid the body of Jesus, and I went inside. Guys, you will not believe what I saw. I saw nothing. There was nothing. There was no one because Jesus Christ had risen from…

Soften The Hardened Heart

And that’s the downfall of Thanos, that his heart is so hardened that he can’t have a conversion. In the gospel for this Sunday…

You Belong With Him
The Gospel for this Sunday is so awesome. The disciples are asking, Jesus, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?” And I think we can live that way so often that we are not looking for Jesus, but we are looking for something else or someone else. And I think the solution to this problem is Taylor Swift…
