Question: what is your security blanket? For Gollum, it’s the ring. For Tony Stark, it’s the Iron Man suit. For Woody, it’s his status as a favorite toy. In the gospel for the Sunday, Jesus gives us the foundations of discipleship, and one of those things is getting rid of the unhealthy attachments that prevent us from Jesus. We all have them. We all have those security blankets that bring us false security. The beautiful reality is that Jesus Christ is our ultimate safety and security, and He will never abandon us. So, my invitation for this Sunday is to identify your security blanket, reject your security blanket, and attach yourself to Jesus Christ, who is your ultimate security and safety. This is Spirit Juice. Peace!

Chris Pratt, in an interview, said the way that he was able to get to the physique of…

Who Jesus Is
Who’s the most powerful person to ever come out of Kansas? Clark Kent, aka Superman. And the reason he’s Superman isn’t just where he came from, but who formed him. In this Sunday’s Gospel, the mystery of the Virgin Birth helps us understand something even greater: this is who Jesus is. Fully God and fully human. His divinity comes from the Father in heaven, and His humanity comes through Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is shaped by the Father, formed by Mary and Joseph, and sent for us. As Christmas approaches, we’re invited to pause and reflect on the beauty of who He truly is God with us.

Just Like A Good Goalie
Hugo Lloris is a fantastic goalie on the Tottenham Hotspurs soccer team in English soccer, or if you’re in England, football. Hugo Lloris said this about being a goalie. “It’s not just about the talent. “It’s being in the right place at the right time.” So Jesus in the gospel is saying, “Stay awake. “Be alert. Be prepared. “Be in the right place at the right time.” As Christians, we are often not in the right place…
