So it’s about time we talked about Michael Corleone. In the second “Godfather,” Michael Corleone has all of the opportunities, so many second chances, to step away from the violence of the mob. But in all those second chances, he decides to choose everything that is not good.
In the gospel for this Sunday, Jesus is giving us hope, but He’s also warning us. Jesus is always giving us second chances. If we turn back to Him, we get eternity with Him. The reality is that we only have a limited amount of second chances. They will eventually run out, and then we will be stuck with what we choose. Great news: Jesus Christ gives us a second chance now in Lent to turn back to Him, to repent, to believe in the gospel, and to get after it. Use that second chance. Go to confession and choose Him. This is Spirit Juice. Peace.

There is very little protein within sushi. The salty soy sauce that we consume also makes us really, really thirsty and really, really hungry. All these factors combined do not satisfy us. In the gospel for this Sunday, Jesus…

The Transfiguration
In “Thor: Ragnarok,” Bruce Banner and the Hulk, they are fighting against each other. They’re the same person, but they need to be integrated better. But then you see in the movie, “Endgame,” Bruce Banner and the Hulk are truly one. They are no longer fighting against each other. They are integrated well. Bruce Banner is the Hulk, and the Hulk is…

Holy Saturday 2024
This is a little dated, but the “Bourne” trilogy. Jason Bourne, an ex-assassin, runs away and hides from the government. He does everything in his power, training, and skill to hide from the government, and he succeeds. When it comes to being a Christian, we will never succeed at hiding from Jesus. Today, Holy Saturday, what does Jesus do? Before the…
