I just got back from our women’s weekend here at the Newman Center, where college-aged women go off for a weekend and dive into what it means to identify as a sister, a mother, a daughter, and a bride, and it was so awesome sauce. All of these college-aged women were convicted of the fact that even though they were not married, they had a bridegroom, Jesus. This is why I love the first reading for this Sunday. Her husband entrusts his heart to her, and that is the reality.
Jesus is the bridegroom who is entrusting his heart to us. No matter if you are a woman or you are a dude. Every time we go to mass, mass is the wedding banquet. Every time we receive holy communion, the bridegroom is entrusting his heart to us, and we have a God who is not indifferent. We have a God who is relentlessly in love with us. This is Spirit Juice, peace.

The Eucharist
In 1263 in Italia, there was a tiny town, Bolzano, where a priest, a Dom Peter, was celebrating mass. And while he was celebrating mass, he had doubts about the real presence of the Eucharist. And as he lifted the host for consecration, blood began to drip from the host onto the altar. This was what is called a Eucharistic miracle, and many confirmed…
