One time, I was exciting a bunch of second graders in their classroom, getting them ready for their first Holy Communion. And so I asked them, boys and girls, what are you most excited about about receiving your first Holy Communion? So, one kid raised his hand high in the air, and I called on him. He said, ‘We get to eat God.’ Exactly. It sounds a little crazy and a little radical, but this kid canonizes him right now. Make him a doctor of the church. This is the great gift of the Eucharist that we have as Catholics, and we celebrate it today in the Feast of Corpus Christi. There is nothing more intimate in this world than receiving Holy Communion. The Eucharist is the greatest gift that we have received. And so today, at Mass, receive the Lord with your whole heart, with your entire being. Have an incredible Corpus Christi.

Pentecost 2024
Okay, so I promise I am not a pagan. In Greek mythology, the God Prometheus steals heavenly fire and gives it to the people on earth. The gods, especially Zeus, are so upset that they condemn Prometheus to eternal punishment because they are jealous and want to withhold the fire. This is the crazy thing. Today, on Pentecost, it’s the opposite, that our Father in Heaven gives us his fire…

Divine Mercy
The Vatican said we must Google Image the Divine Mercy on our phones and put it as our background. And when I say the “Vatican,” I mean “me.” The Divine Mercy Sunday is an incredible Sunday where we witness Jesus pursuing us. We look at the image of Divine Mercy and see that Jesus is not standing still. He has one foot forward, walking towards us, running after us, pursuing us. This is the Divine Mercy…
