Book recommendation for all of you, “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis. If you still need to read it, do it now. This incredible book talks about heaven and talks about knowing the Lord. There’s a scene where a bus takes many people to heaven. When they reach heaven, the people who did know Jesus become fully alive.
The people who don’t know Jesus are very uncomfortable, some are bored, and many don’t care about being there. Jesus, in the Gospel today, he’s saying, “I’ve prepared a place for you.” Jesus wants to be with you forever, but we can’t be with someone we don’t know. Just imagine being married to someone and not knowing their heart. Now, imagine spending eternity with your creator and not knowing their heart.
The great news is that we can know the Lord’s heart in scripture, church, tradition, and everything. Learn about the Lord’s heart, get to know him, and we will prepare our hearts for heaven.

Immaculate Conception
One of the things that I absolutely love about Buddy the Elf is the fact that he is so innocent. He is so pure. He is so humble. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that Santa. Takes him out of the orphanage and Buddy lives in the North Pole. He is preserved from the craziness of the world. This is the reason why…

Fear of Being Less of Ourselves
One of my favorite scenes from The Lord of the Rings is when Gandalf heals King Theoden from Saruman’s possession. This is such an awesome scene of healing. At one point, the possessed King Theoden says to Gandalf, “If I go, Theoden dies.” And that’s precisely what we see in the gospel today. The demon spirit tells Jesus, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us?” We say that to…
