So, at the end of your life, you get to the gates of heaven, and the person guarding the gates of heaven, either St. Peter or Morgan Freeman, asks you, “Why should I let you into heaven?” And we could have so many answers, like ” because I’m awesome,” ” because I gave much money to the poor,” ” because I went to mass every Sunday,” or “I’m not Voldemort.”
We can give many good answers, but none of them are the correct answer. The only correct answer is Jesus. In the gospel for this Sunday, it is asked to Jesus, “What must I do to get into heaven?” And Jesus’ answer is basically threefold. The first is to follow God’s law. The second is to eliminate anything in your life that is more important than Jesus. And then the third is, “Come and follow me.” We must do this to gain eternal life, keeping Jesus at the center of everything. What do you have to do to get into heaven? Jesus Christ. This is Spirit Juice, peace.

No Greater Love (Palm Sunday)
On Palm Sunday, crowds entered Jerusalem bringing lambs for sacrifice, it was messy, costly, and deeply personal. In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus enters through those same gates, not just alongside the lambs, but as the Lamb. He takes on what we could never carry, offering Himself completely out of love for us.
That’s the heart of Palm Sunday. The sacrifice is no longer ours to make, Jesus gives Himself for us. The invitation is simple: take it personally, receive that love, and say yes to Him.

God’s Not A Scrooge
Ebenezer Scrooge. Such a grouch, such a curmudgeon, such a grumpy source, Rex. And often, we see the Heavenly Father as an Ebenezer Scrooge figure. He is just waiting for us to make a mistake. He’s rolling his eyes, saying, I wish you were more virtuous. I want you to sin less often. In the gospel, Jesus turns it on its head and says, You have a good Father. What? A good father would not give good gifts to…

Get Up and Share The Gospel
My dad mastered the art of getting me out of bed when I was a kid. If I were sleeping in, my dad would rush into my room, jump onto the bed, tackle me, and say that it was time to get up. And the crazy thing is I never felt attacked. I felt safe and loved, and then I felt encouraged to get up. Jesus does something very, very similar in the gospel for this Sunday. He’s calling the disciples to get up, to get out, and to…
