So, the bottom line is that you are never a done muffin. You are always half-baked. In the gospel for this Sunday, Jesus tells the scribe, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” He doesn’t say to the scribe, “You made it. You did it. Success.” He says, yeah, you’ve said all the right things, but still, you have some work to do. Still, I want to go deeper with you. This is the beautiful reality that Jesus always wants to go deeper with us. His love is never exhausted, and so in this life, before heaven, you are never a done muffin. You are always half-baked with Jesus. He always wants to go deeper. He always wants to heal more. He always wants to love more. So if you’re finding yourself being like, I’m great, I’m awesome. I’m as Catholic as the pope.
It’s time to go deeper with Jesus. Bottom line: You are not a done muffin. You are always half-baked. Jesus always wants to go deeper with you. That is our Lord. That is our God. This is Spirit juice, peace.

Corpus Christi
So, one of my buddies is a perpetual pilgrim for the Eucharistic revival, meaning he will walk across the country, over 2000 miles, with the Eucharist, with Jesus. That’s like 645 hours. That’s the equivalent of watching all of the seasons of “The Office” nonstop, eight times in a row. That’s the equivalent of reading the Bible cover to cover nonstop 13 times in a row. So why is he doing this…

Glory To God
So, the first reading for this Sunday is from the Prophet Baruch, and yes, that is an excellent name for your new puppy. So, the Prophet Baruch gives us incredible things to pray about this advent, specifically glory. The Prophet Baruch uses glory six times in the reading. The dictionary doesn’t do the word glory justice as Catholics. That as Catholics, what is glory? Glory is extraordinary beauty. It is holy beauty…

Eight Words To Reject Satan
Eight simple words can change everything: “In the name of Jesus, I reject temptation.”
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus confronts temptation directly, and rejects it with clarity and authority. We’re invited to do the same. Whether it’s lust, gossip, pride, anger, or any other struggle, we don’t fight alone. We dare to use His name.
As Pope Benedict XVI taught, Christianity isn’t just an idea, it’s an encounter with a Person. And nothing is more personal than calling on His name. This Lent, make it simple. Use the name of Jesus and reject whatever pulls you away from Him.
