Guys, we are 15 days away from Easter. Fifteen days is not a long time, and it takes 15 days to walk from New York to Florida and 15 days to watch all of the episodes and seasons of “The Bachelor.” Side note, if you watch “The Bachelor,” stop and go to confession.
In the Gospel today, we have a foreshadowing of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we have Lazarus rising from the dead. When we hear this Gospel, we know the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is close. So, let’s take a quick thermometer check in our hearts.
And ask the question, “Am I living as if the Resurrection is real in my life?” To be a saint is to witness to the Resurrection, which is true, which is the whole foundation for our faith. And so, my invitation is to live as if the Resurrection is real and true. Because it is. Jesus Christ transformed death into life, and he can transform you into a saint.

The Visitation
Christmas is getting close, and I want to give you the gift of having your mind blown and your face melted. In the Old Testament, King David travels to the Hill Country of Judah for three months. Mary travels for three months in our gospel for this Sunday to the Hill Country of Judah. King David dances before the Lord in the Ark. The baby, John the Baptist, leaps into Elizabeth’s womb in the presence of…

Embracing Shame
Defensiveness, denial, rationalization, avoidance. What do these things have in common? It’s what we do when we avoid shame. None of us like to experience shame. None of us like to experience suffering. And we love to avoid. We love to deny. We love to distract ourselves because shame does not feel good. Here is the gospel, though, where Saint Peter does the same thing. He tells Jesus…
