Do you truly grasp the depth of your heavenly Father’s delight in you? A significant aspect of the Father’s heart is to unconditionally care for his children, in whatever form that takes. This love may seem overwhelming or even exhausting at times, but it’s because of this uncalculated, unending love that the moments when he gets to care for and be with his children in this unique way can be the most cherished part of Father’s Day. In his children’s poverty, in this exchange, and despite the challenges, many things about them still allow the Father’s heart to well up with delight. Our inabilities and imperfections delight the Father because they are occasions of intimacy and closeness to Him.
This is the purity of the delight we’re discussing in today’s episode. It reminds us that God delights in all of us even more than an earthly father delights in his earthly children. You do not burden the heavenly Father, but He profoundly delights.
