If you don’t value something, does it mean it’s not valuable to others or the world? Our life experiences form us, and our hearts respond in different ways, mainly where there are areas of something we didn’t experience or grew up without. We can have a coping mechanism or a defense mechanism of numbing and closing that part of our hearts so that it doesn’t become an open lifelong wound, which becomes a value. A value that tells us which is important and which is not important and which we can project onto other people as well.
So, we want to be open to discerning those realities at play. In this episode, we are invited to know our hearts through healthy self-awareness, self-doubt, and an openness to receive what others value.
As we grow, we want to keep focusing on quality and bringing you new features that have a cost. So, in our Franciscan way, we’re asking: Would you consider becoming a monthly donor if you’ve been loving the Poco a Poco podcast? At The Well
In one form or another, we can sometimes live in isolation and hiding. Because of shame and sin, we clothe ourselves with shadows and hide. The places of hiding don’t have to defeat us, but they can become these intimate places where the Lord desires to be…
