And if I have faith, so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I’m able to move this mountain, it will seem as if I am a wonder worker and that may make me popular, but what is my motive? As human beings we will want to work wonders and be famous! And people will think, talk about us and they will know about us. But, that’s not the point. You have to realize and appreciate that it is God who gave you the powers for anything you can do. And He gave you the powers not to use only for yourself, but to use for the good of others. Think of Abraham. Think of Isaac. Think of Jacob. Think of all these powerful people in the Bible. These people loved God. They had the faith! And not only empty faith, but faith, moved, impelled by love.
