When I say these phrases, what is the first thing that you think of that comes to mind? The first, “You’re a wizard, Harry.” Hopefully you thought of Hagrid from Harry Potter. The second, “Do not be afraid.” St. John Paul the Great, obviously, and the third, “We don’t talk about Bruno.” Encanto. You know there are a lot of phrases in our lives that we hear them and we automatically think of a person or think of something.
And in the Gospel this Sunday, Jesus Christ has a phrase for us that when we hear this phrase, he wants us to remember him and that phrase. That phrase is, “The Kingdom of God”, and the Kingdom of God being Him, Jesus Christ. A lot of the times we can think of the Kingdom of God as an actual building or a thing. My desire for all of us this Sunday is to recognize that we don’t have to be afraid, that we get to live the Kingdom of God in this world, in our hearts, who is present to us. Also, if you haven’t seen Harry Potter, you gotta see it.
